Our Vision for Tomorrow
Cortex's Future Goals
Growing Quality Jobs
Attract and grow additional life science, national security, and general technology companies to the Cortex District. This expansion focuses on bringing diverse, high-quality employment opportunities to our community.
Building and Renovating Infrastructure
Construct or renovate 3 buildings within the District, creating state-of-the-art spaces for creativity and collaboration.
Expanding Entrepreneurial Training
Broaden the scope of our suite of Square One programs, aiming to train a more diverse range of entrepreneurs. This includes launching sector-specific and sector-agnostic training partnerships, ensuring a wide array of opportunities for budding entrepreneurs.
Collaborative Initiatives
We love collaborating on innovation-focused initiatives across the St. Louis region. Our goal is to be a catalyst for regional growth, leveraging our expertise and resources for the broader benefit of the community.
Equitable Economic Impacts
Create equitable economic impacts, ensuring that 70% of our workforce training graduates are women and/or people of color. We believe in the power of a diverse and inclusive workforce to drive innovation and economic growth.
Measuring Success
Our success metrics will include tracking skills learned, the number of businesses growing, and the jobs they create. We aim to graduate 1,250 individuals from our training programs and track their employment status two years later, ensuring long-term impact.
